The Omicron Delta Kappa Society is the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Membership in ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor. Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes and encourages achievement in scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social and religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech, and the mass media; and creative and performing arts.

The Anderson Society is a leadership honorary that recognizes students who have made significant contributions to The University of Alabama. Twenty-five students are accepted each year; and seven honorary memberships are awarded to faculty and graduating seniors. While these contributions often take many forms, there are certain qualities of members of the Anderson Society that are prominently and ubiquitously found -- an immersion into some sort of community service, passion for improving the university community through both explicit and implicit means, and persistent effort to attain excellence in some sphere of university life. Once an Anderson initiate, members are expected to continue to devote themselves to service, some directly under the auspices of the Anderson Society, but much more individually.

Blue Key Honor Society is a premier honor society that recognizes college students for balanced and all-around excellence in scholarship, leadership and service.

The 1913 Society - a student ambassador program established by the Office of the President - provides an opportunity for outstanding undergraduate students to serve as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the university.

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus, located in Teaneck, NJ have been named to the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Fall 2016 semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

The Iowa State University College of Engineering's Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

The University of Alabama awarded some 2,270 degrees during winter commencement Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. With this graduating class, UA will have awarded more than 257,000 degrees since its founding in 1831 as the state's first public university.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika" during the fall 2016 semester. This conclusion of Tony Kushner's award-winning epic of American theatre is a work of stunning imagination, rich humor and profound feeling. The students brought to life Kushner's boundary-breaking depiction of two relationships, one gay and one straight, while giving insight on relationships, politics, illness and life.

Belmont will break its previous record of number of students participating in summer study abroad opportunities, including the University's maymester trips, as 506 students pack their bags to travel to nearly 30 countries.

Wofford's Interim is a time for exploration and experiential learning away from the rigors of traditional academic courses for students and faculty alike. Students may choose from a variety of on-campus courses, professional internships and research projects, study abroad opportunities or their own independent study project, approved and guided by a faculty advisor. More than 200 students chose to study abroad during Interim 2016.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "Angels In America, Part One: Millennium Approaches" during the 2015 fall semester. The play, written by Tony Kushner, has won numerous honors as well as being hailed as "one of the most important pieces of theatre to come out of the 20th century." Under Scott Plate's direction, Rave and Pan called several moments "emotionally shattering" and noted that the production "shows that it ain't just the singers who are the stars in Berea.
